Our Goals
Near Term
Plant 1000 Native Trees in honor of 200 Years
- Be an integral part of the Town’s Bicentennial
- Support Sustainable CT certification
- Provide Youth based educational opportunities
- Participate in beautification projects around town
Long Term
Plant 2,000 Native Trees “for eternity”
- Create a Tree Commission
- Establish “Three for One” tree replacement Planning & Zoning guidance for tree removals
- Qualify Madison as an official member of the Arbor Day Foundation Tree City USA program
MAD for Trees is covering Madison with Native Plants
This Google Map shows the broad coverage and diversity of our program. Many of the icons represent multiple trees in one location. So far we have distributed 363 Native Trees & shrubs over the last two years.
