Mission

  • By planting these native plants, we hope to:  
  • ​Raise awareness of the Climate Crisis and its impact on Madison.
  • Create a positive civic campaign celebrating our Town's history.
  • Provide collaborative projects for residents, businesses & local organizations to come together to sustainably beautify our town.
  • Encourage a future of environmental stewardship in Madison. 

Our Goals

Near Term

 Plant 1000 Native Trees & Shrubs in honor of 200 Years

  • Be an integral part of the Town’s Bicentennial 
  • Strengthen the P&Z process to better protect trees 
  • Support Sustainable CT certification  
  • Participate in beautification projects around town

Long Term

 Plant >2000 Native Trees & Shrubs 

  • Create a Town Tree Protection Ordinance
  • Help Madison become a Tree City
